The Plot

Don’t think for a moment that because you’re in the palace you will escape when all other Jews are killed. If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?” Esther 4:13-14 NL

“That night the king had trouble sleeping, so he ordered an attendant to bring the book of the history of his reign so it could be read to him.” Esther 6:1 NLT

What Do We Do When It Feels Like God Is Silent?

  • Trust that Jesus is at work.
    • In the world around you

“For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.”  Colossians 1:16-17 ESV

  • In your individual life.

“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28 ESV

  • Use your influence for the sake of the Kingdom.

“Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?” Esther 4:14b NLT

“For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose.” Philippians 2:13 NV

  • Focus on the cross

“Don’t be afraid! I am the First and the Last. I am the living one. I died, but look—I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and the grave.” Revelation 1:17,18 NLT

“Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.” And the one sitting on the throne said, “Look, I am making everything new!” And then he said to me, “Write this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true.”And he also said, “It is finished! I am the Alpha and the Omega—the Beginning and the End. To all who are thirsty I will give freely from the springs of the water of life. All who are victorious will inherit all these blessings, and I will be their God, and they will be my children.”  Revelation 21:3-7 NLT
