“The fruit of the Spirit is faithfulness…” Galatians 5:23

Can God be trusted? = Faith

“The Lord is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does.” Psalm 145:13 NIV

Can I be trusted? = Faithfulness

“Many claim to have unfailing love, but a faithful person who can find? Proverbs 20:6 NIV

  • When I am faithful, I am reflecting Who God is (1 Corinthians 1:9)
  • God is on the lookout for faithful people (2 Chronicles 16:9)
  • My faithfulness is a direct reflection of my faith (Luke 19:8)

How Can I Demonstrate Faithfulness?

1. I can be faithful in the little things

“Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.” Luke 16:10 NIV

2. I can be faithful to serve with my gifts and talents

“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:10 NIV

3. I can be faithful in difficult times and when I do not feel like being faithful

“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” Galatians 6:9 NLT

4. I can be faithful with my finances

“Use your worldly resources to benefit others and make friends. Then, when your possessions are gone, they will welcome you to an eternal home.” Luke 16:9 NLT

5. I can be faithful to build the faith of others

“and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.” 2 Timothy 2:2 NLT

6. I can be faithful by sharing my faith with others

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8 NLT
