“Am I a God who is only in one place and cannot see what they are doing? Can anyone hide from me? Am I not everywhere in all of heaven and earth?” Jeremiah 23:23-24 LB

Omnipresence: God is everywhere all the time

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 ESV

  1. Where is God when I am lonely?

“for He Himself has said, I will never leave you or forsake you.” Hebrews 13:5 HCSB
(See Deuteronomy 31:6)

  • I need to recognize God as my constant companion

“…And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:20b NIV

  1. Where is God when I am worried and scared?

“I will be with you when you pass through the waters, and when you pass through the rivers, they will not overwhelm you. You will not be scorched when you walk through the fire, and the flame will not burn you.” Isaiah 43:2 HCSB

  • I  need to run to God as my confidence

“The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?” Psalm 27:1 NIV

  1. Where is God when I am tempted?

“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13 NIV

  • I need to rely on God as my counselor

Jesus said, “It is written” (Matthew 4:4, 7, 10)

  1. Where is God when I hurt and am discouraged?

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:18 NIV

“The Lord is near to those who are discouraged; he saves those who have lost all hope.” Psalm 34:18 GN

  • I need to rejoice in God as my comforter

“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10 NIV
