“How lovely are Your tabernacles, O Lord of hosts! My soul yearns, yes, even pines and is homesick for the courts of the Lord; my heart and my flesh cry out and sing for joy to the living God.” Psalm 84:1-2 AMP

  • Jesus came to cure our homesickness

“He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.” Ecclesiastes 3:11 NIV

  • Jesus left His home to bring us home

“But when the fullness of the time came, God sent His Son, born of a woman, born under the Law, so that He might redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the adoption as sons and daughters.” Galatians 4:4-5 NASB

“God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure.” Ephesians 1:5 NLT

  • Jesus came to make His home in us

“And the Word became flesh, and dwelt among us; and we saw His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14 NASB

“Jesus replied, “All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them.” John 14:23 NLT

Heavenly Father, thank You for sending Your Son to rescue me and to bring me home to You. Thank You that You loved me so much that You gave Your precious Son so that I would be part of Your family.

Jesus, I agree with You that You are My Savior. I want to follow You as my Lord. I believe You are Who You say You are and I believe who You say I am.

Holy Spirit, thank You that You have made Your home with me. Lead my thoughts, my words, and my deeds as I follow Jesus. Lead me to a deeper understanding of how much my Heavenly Father loves me. Lead me to know and experience His goodness in this coming new year, like I never have before.

In Jesus name, Amen
