Questions to ask yourself to see if you are a person after God’s heart:

  1. How do I respond when I sin?
  • David responded to his sin with a repentant heart

“Have mercyon me, O God,according to your unfailing love; according to your great compassionblot outmy transgressions. Wash awayall my iniquityand cleanseme from my sin. For I know my transgressions,and my sin is always before me.” Psalm 51:1-3 NIV

“My sacrifice is a humble spirit, O God;you will not reject a humble and repentant heart.” Palm 51:17 GNT

  1. How do I respond when I am under stress or depressed?
  • David responded to stress with a trusting heart

“In my distress I called to theLord;he answered me and set me free. TheLordis with me, I will not be afraid;what can anyone do to me?” Psalm 118:5-6 GNT

“My flesh and my heart may fail,but God isthe strengthof my heart and myportionforever.”  Psalm 73:26 ESV

  • How do I respond to the calling to serve

 

  • David responded to the calling to serve with a servant’s heart and a sacrificial heart
