WHO DID JESUS COME TO SERVE?

  • The poor: Material poverty, Moral Poverty, Spiritual poverty
  • The broken hearted

“The Lord is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.” Psalm 34:18 NLT

  • The Imprisoned: Literal Prison, Addictions, Secrets, Guilt
  • The Blind: Literal Blindness, Relational Blindness, Emotional Blindness, Spiritual Blindness
  • The Oppressed: Political Oppression, Cultural Oppression, Spiritual Oppression

WHAT DID JESUS MEAN BY “PROCLAIMING THE YEAR OF THE LORD’S FAVOR?”

WHY DO WE EXIST AS A CHURCH/MINISTRY?

  • To point people to Jesus: “Preach good news”
  • To be there for the broken hearted: “Heal the broken hearted”
  • To grow genuine followers of Jesus: “Proclaim liberty”

“You shall know the truth and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32

  • To be light in a dark world: “Recovery of sight for the blind”
  • To lead people to freedom and purpose in Jesus: “Release of the oppressed”
