“Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body. 2. What is the purpose of Christian marriage?
The Wrong’s would answer: “Marriage is supposed make you happy”
The Right’s would answer: “Marriage makes you holy”
3. What makes Christian marriage flourish?
The Wrong’s would answer: “We complete each other” or “We often compete with each other”
The Right’s would answer: “We complement one another”
How do we do that?
- By being Spirit filled and gospel based
(Ephesians 5:18-19) - By accepting our roles and responsibilities
(Ephesians 5:22, 25) - By practicing love and respect
(Ephesians 5:33) - By remembering our ultimate marriage
(Ephesians 5:32)
