King Saul intended on killing David, “But God did not give David into his hands.” (1 Samuel 23:14)
Jonah was in the belly of a whale, “But God brought his life up from the pit.” (Jonah 2:6)
With man things are not possible, “But with God all things are possible.” (Matthew 19:26)
No one has ever seen God, “But God the Son has made Him known.” (John 1:18)

1. We were on the path to self-destruction, BUT GOD changed our direction.
“Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God’s anger, just like everyone else.” Vs. 1-3
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” 2 Timothy 3:16 NIV
2. We used to be lost trying to find out who we are, BUT GOD gave us a new and true identity.
“Sin is me trying to sit in God’s seat; the gospel is Jesus sat in my seat so I could sit in His.” Unknown
3. We used to work hard for God to accept us, BUT GOD has changed how we relate to Him.
“God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.” Vs. 8-9
4. We were on a search for purpose and significance, BUT GOD has given us real purpose and significance.
“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Vs.10
