Sharing Jesus has three key benefits:
- It grows my faith
- It grows the church
- It has eternal impact on the lives of others
“… and I pray that the sharing of your faith may become effective for the full knowledge of every good thing that is in us for the sake of Christ.” Philemon 1:6 NIV
How can we be effective in sharing the truth with others?
- Sort it out
“But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect” 1 Peter 3:15 NIV
- Live it out
“In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” James 2:17 NIV
- Speak it out
“He said to them, ‘Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.’” Mark 16:15-16 NIV
G – God created us to be in relationship with Him
O – Our sins separate us from God because he is perfect
S – Sin cannot be overcome by good works
P – Paying the price for sin, Jesus died and rose again
E – Everyone who believes in him has eternal life
L – Life with Jesus starts today and lasts forever
